Miss Deb Krotz

Welcome to Miss Krotz's

Classroom Web Page

I am so happy that you are visiting my web page. Let me tell you a bit about myself.

I grew up in Belleville and graduated from BHS in 1975. Four years later, I graduated from Kansas University with a bachelor's degree in language arts secondary education. My major was in speech and drama and my minor was in English. Over the next 16 years, I taught in several locations. Those included Nemaha Valley High School in Seneca for four years and Jackson Heights High School near Holton for seven years. In the middle of those years of teaching, I took time off to go back to college, Emporia State University, and earned a master's degree in theater arts with a specialization in secondary education.

Twenty years after graduating from Belleville High (1995), I returned to my alma mater as a teacher. This year I start my 20th year of teaching in Belleville at Republic County High School and my 33rd year as a teacher.

Presently, I teach English I, speech, English IV, concurrent credit college Composition I and Composition II, and college public speaking at RCHS. My extracurricular involvement includes directing and designing the school play, coaching forensics, co-sponsoring scholar's bowl, and serving as co-sponsor of the senior class. Also, I am a longtime member of the district's school improvement leadership team.

Please never hesitate to contact me by school email or by calling the school about anything concerning my classes or my extracurricular duties. I may not be able to reply or call back during the school day, but I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Again, thank you for taking the time to read my web page.
